INTRODUCTION

This 2001 revised list of coordinates for Landing Zone (LZs), Fire Bases (FBs), Fire Support Base (FSBs), and Camps was compiled from a variety of written, oral, and electronic sources.  These sources included: Operations Reports & Lessons Learned (ORLLs), After Action Reports, Annual Historical Supplements, unit histories, and input from many Vietnam Vets.  Take the data at face value and keep in mind that some of the information may have been inaccurate when the original documents were written.  Please don’t get upset if you have contradictory data as we only compile what we find.  Also, as you review the list you’ll see that some names were used and reused several times in different Corps Tactical Zones (CTZs) as major units moved.  Especially the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) whom served in all four CTZs and Cambodia.  Also, names were selected by the local commanders (usually at the Brigade or Division level) and some of the names are very common.  As you’ll notice, duplications and variations in spelling are frequent.  If you would like to fill-in some of the blanks in this list please send an Email to me, Dan Gillotti, at (hidavo@earthlink.net).  Please include your name and address so we can contact you if there are any questions.  Please include the name of the LZs, FSBs, FBs, or Camps, the coordinates, the major unit responsible and CTZ if known, and the approximate dates the location was occupied by elements of that major unit.
