Vietnam 40th
Anniversary Reunion
“The 6th
Howitzer Battalion”, 15th Artillery was reactivated at Ft.
Sill, Oklahoma, on December 1, 1966, specifically to provide additional
fire support to the 1st Infantry Division (Big Red One).
On May 1, 1967, the
Division departed Ft. Sill for Vietnam via rail and aboard the ship USNS
Gordon. Division Headquarters was established on May 26, 1967 at Lai Khe,
Vietnam.”
To celebrate,
remember and reunite with old friends we will be holding a Reunion on
April 26th, 27th & 28th “2007” in
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Wives, children and friends are invited!
We have a block of
rooms reserved at the Biltmore of Oklahoma City, 401 South Meridian,
1-405-947-7681. The group rates for a Standard rooms are $73.00 per
night, which includes breakfast. (Note that $73.00 plus tax = $82.75)
Two events have
been suggested:
1)
A visit to Ft. Sill, OK. ( possibly rent a bus)
2)
A golf outing
